Charter FAQs
What's included in a Solent yacht charter?+
Use of the yacht, mooring fees and insurance, full safety equipment, life jackets, charts, AIS and VHF. Galley kit, water, tea and coffee on board. Food and personal kit are not provided.
Skippered or bareboat — what's the difference?+
Skippered: a Unity professional sails with you, handles navigation, weather routing and the safety brief. Suits groups who don't have an RYA-qualified skipper or want a coaching element. Bareboat: you take the boat yourselves — requires a credible skipper with Day Skipper or higher and demonstrable Solent experience.
Can I charter for a club or corporate day?+
Yes — we charter to sailing clubs, syndicates and corporate teams. Multi-boat bookings, race-format days and multi-day trips are all common. Get in touch for a tailored quote.
Where can I sail from Hamble?+
The Solent gives you Cowes, Yarmouth, Bembridge, Lymington, Beaulieu and the Hamble itself within a day's reach. Cross-Solent trips to Cherbourg, Alderney or the Channel Islands are two-night minimums. We'll help you plan a route to suit the wind and the experience on board.
Do you do single-day charters?+
Yes. Most popular for corporate days and team-building. Full weekends or 3–5 day trips give you more sailing and tend to be better value per day.
What yachts do you charter?+
Our fleet is race-built and race-maintained — Sun Fast 3300 and 3200 sport boats, plus J-class racer-cruisers. All Cat 2 / Cat 3 capable, with modern instruments, AIS and full safety kit.
