Chris Baldwin

From childhood, Chris Baldwin has been passionate about sharing sailing experiences with friends and enthusiasts. He finds the most fulfillment in coaching and collaborating closely with crew members, emphasising fun, learning, and progress through teamwork and equality. Balancing a busy family life with four children and full-time employment, Chris maximises every opportunity to sail. Beyond sailing, he pursues skiing, biking, beach volleyball, and swimming — always outdoors and with loved ones. He particularly enjoys concluding days with sunsets and relaxation. Chris founded Unity Sailing to democratise high-performance racing for individuals with limited availability, blending training and racing into a flexible, inclusive community. After years of coaching and introducing newcomers to the sport, he takes pride in Unity's growth — fostering connections, celebrating achievements, and empowering people to develop both on and off the water.
